This stunning sunflower field tour in Nakhon Ratchasima is proving popular with Thais.
The 500 rai patch of land was planted with sunflowers two years and is now giving bloom to thousands of the beautiful flowers every year.
It’s quite a stunning sight for taking pictures with friends and family during a holiday to Thailand. And local Thais are enjoying visiting the sunflower field tour, too.

As these pictures show, the field is great for horse riding, too. It’s generally just a nice day out and a great chance to visit rural Thailand – somewhere that isn’t a beach or city!
The flowers bloom in the summer and last until early January, at which point they’re usually harvested for their seeds which are sold and eaten.

The sunflower field is about a three hour drive from super-popular Khao Yai national park. It’s also about 170km from Bangkok.
The train from Bangkok station will arrive there in a about four or five hours and will be really cheap. The train ride is also a great way to see the beautiful Thai countryside and the many paddy fields, villages, wooden homes and small stations along the way.
