These incredible water lilies are strong enough – for a man to STAND on.
The giant Victoria lilies are grown at an ornamental pond in Phitsanulok, northern Thailand.
Pictures show one of the gardeners rowing a boat through the maze of flowers – before hopping off and standing on one.

They are strong enough to bear a weight of 100kg – and stretch up to two metres in diameter over the surface of the water.
The lilies – named after Queen Victoria – are native to South America and found in the Amazon basin but Thailand’s tropical climate mean they can thrive, achieving super-strength stems.
Wow, that is crazy that such a plant exists! Would it be ok if I showed this in a video that I am making about lily pads?
Sure
Hi loved the post please could you tell me where in the city these are located. Angela
