These have to be some of the world’s best candles…
The incredible wax works were on show this year at the Candle Festival in Ubon Ratchathani, in the Isaan region of Eastern Thailand.
This year the stunning works – featuring traditional Thai sculptures of angels, dragons and monks – were on show all day on July 19 before a grand procession on July 20.
The massive candles even have giant wicks.
They’re made from beeswax, which has either been carved from a solid block, or carved separately then added to frames.
Every year the whole shabang is complimented with women in traditional Thai dress, market stalls, food, music and other cultural activities.
Thai locals from the region flock to the festival, as well as increasing numbers of western tourists.
Ubon Ratchathani is the only part of Thailand that has the unique candle festival.
